CREATIVE INTERN
During second term I had the amazing opportunity to start as creative intern at Kohl Kreatives. Not only was I extremely grateful for the opportunity but I have been honoured to work for a company that has such kind and important brand ethics.

'Our aim is to bring the basics back to beauty for these men and women, so they can feel good about themselves on a daily basis; we teach them simple techniques to improve their self-esteem and help them reintegrate into society. Additionally, we cater to individuals with existing conditions, such as: alopecia, vitiligo and port wine birthmarks. We also work towards helping individuals with severe scarring or burns, as a result of accidents.'

My role as a creative intern was to create promotional content for the launch of Kohl Kreatives new make up brushes, The Shapes Collection. Each week we produced new concepts and organised shoots. The work was extremely fast-paced and challenging, but I loved how imaginative we could be, to then see our work featured online and across social was extremely rewarding.
To the left are examples of the shoots myself and the other intern curated. We were in charge of organising the studio, photographer and building sets/ props. I was effective in capturing the tone of the brand as well as keeping to beauty trends and influences. Working for Kohl built my confidence in resourcefulness and artistic thinking.

In addition to all the great experience I had gained from a couple months at Kohl, I then had the opportunity to go to London with company owner Trish, to install the visual mechanising in Not Another Salon. We came up with a concept to make cherry blossom out of twigs and tissue paper, a nod to the company branding that is inspired by traditional Chinese culture.
